Vermont American, Bosch & Habitat for Humanity

Vermont American is part of the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation family and as such has recently donated thousands of dollars worth of tools to those recently affected by natural disasters.  Bosch partners with Habitat Affiliates to provide tools and cash grands through the Bosch Community Fund.  Two recent donations were to the victims of Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and the 2013 tornados in Texas and Oklahoma.  Bosch donated $100,000 of tools to the victims of Sandy in New Jersey and New York.

You can learn more about the work Bosch does with Habitat Affiliates in North America at www.boschrbtcsocialresp.com.  The site is currently under construction, but you can visit and learn more about how Bosch provides help across the country.  Be on the lookout for updates about the recent relief efforts for the tornados in Illinois.

If you’re interested in Bosch’s humanitarian work across the globe, visits their Robert Bosch Stiftung website.  The Robert Bosch Stiftung is one of Europe’s largest foundations associated with a private company. It invests approximately 70 million euros annually in supporting approximately 800 of its own as well as third-party projects in the fields of international relations, education, society and culture, as well as health and science. Since its founding back in 1964, the Foundation has used more than 1.2 billion euros for charitable activities.
